I have a persuader stick - I’ll send it to you. One good thump!
No I do not thump the chickies with it!

Thankfully the Summer House is very well fortifiedCongratulations Mrs Little Chicken.
I'm telling you now, block any and every entrance into your hay loft, no matter how small. Familiarize yourself with every nook and cranny inside and outside your barn. High, low, everywhere. No place is safe now or off limits. Trust me from experience, check your stall walls. If there is a gap between boards and she can squeeze in, she will. Fortify yourself with coffee while you can. The silkies and your other girls have prepared you somewhat for battle. I will say it now and stand-by it. There is nothing more sneaky and determined then a game hen when it comes to being broody. Nothing as fierce either when it comes to protecting her eggs and chicks. I'd say you have 2 1/2 to 3 weeks tops. Weather and time of year mean nothing to them.
I know you have swore off broody hatched chicks. It is noble of you. Before a year is out Mrs Little Chicken is proudly going to make you eat those words at least once.
But then you have egg bombs!Thankfully the Summer House is very well fortified
If she wishes to go broody in there she can find a place behind a board and sit there to her hearts content. I am fairly certain Mr P is too big to breed her, and she isn’t running with Mr LC now (I think Clyde is also too big to breed her).
So her eggs will be duds and no one else is laying eggs in there. So nope not happening!![]()
Now that's what I call a rocky porch.
That certainly brought a smile to my face!I have a persuader stick - I’ll send it to you. One good thump!
