I have a question that I meant to ask awhile ago but I forgot...

We're switching to all flock feed soon. Should we get 16, 17, or 20% protein? By the time we buy it they'll be 6ish months old. I'm not sure if age matters?
I feed a 17% layer pellets and also a 17% textured layer (is a mixed grain with a high protien and calcium pellet added).

My hen that are in with Mr P also get a 16% grower added to their feed to help lower calcium levels for the ladies who are not laying. And it’s a nice treat for them, they love the grower and starter crumbles.

Alligator is delicious, python is good, slightly fishy and gamey.
Kangaroo and emu are nice, and I can't remember what other animals I've eaten.
I'm pretty sure I've had dog, cat, horse, mutton, goat, shark, squid, octopus, eel (quickly learned not to ask what it was)...had opportunity for rattler and said NO. Eat deer, elk, antelope, bison, moose, bear, etc as often as tags are gotten and filled. Wild turkey, duck, goose, pheasant, grouse....paddlefish (ugly fish, good burgers)...if the hare population explodes, then maybe some of them....

Mostly if it's prepared by locals, it's good. Also, tacos and spaghetti can be made out of ANY meat and it tastes good (secrets are in the spices).
