Wow, wonderful news all-around! Congrats on all As, and woo-hoo on a new, better connection with AuggieMore from @Pastel the Rooster :
"I went to the barn today and tacked Auggie up! I needed to run to a feed store down the road and pick up a new cinch because the other one that came with the saddle was too small.
I walked and trotted a bit. My stirrups are too long, so I need to add a few holes in them.
He was great. It’s probably just my imagination, but he seemed so much more eager to work. He trotted without me needing to get my crop out (when I ride English, he refuses to trot or canter unless I hold my crop.) It might have been the new bit, he was very well mannered with the new one. With the old one, he’d pull the reins out of my hands and toss his head. He’d refuse to turn and he’d also completely refuse to move (it was a rubber bit, and I had no connection with him.)
The new bit is textured, it looks like the one in the picture. I feel like I have a lot more connection with him. He trotted nicely, didn’t turn his butt in to the fence (he does that even when I ride bareback, although it was worse with the English saddle) and he turned very nicely.
Also, I’m sorry if my grammar is not as great as it once was. I’m not currently in a literature class, so I don’t write as much as I used to when I was in a English class all year round.
Well, over all, Auggie was great. Whether it was the new bit or the new saddle, I’m super proud of him today. I’m excited to see how he is when I ride him in the big arena in a few days.
Oh! I have all A’s now! The semester ends on Friday, although I get out on Wednesday because I am exempt from all my finals. I’ve never had all A’s, so I am so proud of myself. It feels great. I guess I figured that I really needed to apply myself, now that I’m in “the big leagues.”"

This post needs both a 'heart' and a 'hug' emoji. Heart for the beautiful girls, hugs for you. Feel better soon!I am sick for the first time in five years. Came on suddenly too, I was fine until about 3 yesterday when my throat started feeling slightly sore. By the time i was home at 5 I knew for sure, had a fever when i went to bed. Thought I was feeling better enough this morning to go into work just long enough to finish a project, but still had a temp, so back to bed I went. I am doing all the things so hopefully i will be over it quick.View attachment 4008698View attachment 4008699View attachment 4008700

Sure hope you don’t get ill like your DH.I prayyou get well soon!
I used to worry being sick around our chickens before ~ especially during Covid yrs but they seem to be immune to human flu/colds. But the way viruses mutate these days i still am a worrier.
Not feeling so great myself. DH brought home the 24-hr stomach flu last week & this week I'm cramming in Lab appts to get X-rays & bloodwork done required 2 wks prior to my Jan arm surgery. I've had so many Xrays since May when the arm broke I should be glowing in the dark by now!![]()
Magnolia bushes maybe?I have several pneumonia bushes in the front of the property at home, Beautiful flowers on it!
Maybe it’s petunias?my bad
