Marans are so gorgeous... I wouldn't mind having a marans roo.

We sadly had to rehome a Marans into our neighbor's layer flock cuz she was overly aggressive toward our Leghorn & Silkie.

A Marans should be okay w/your Wyandottes which also can be assertive types. Where does your EE fit in the flock pecking order?

Your chickens have quickly become pets. So fun!

Eye colors in chickens? Our 3 Dominique juveniles had pretty blue eyes that turned reddish-bay when they were adults.

Aliss had dark brown eyes up until... I don't actually know when I noticed that they were green... So looking back at my pictures, this one from December 9th is the first one where her eyes are obviously green.

Compared to this one from November 1st, still brown.

And this one in between, you can see a little bit of green but they're still brown. Nov 19th.

And as a day old, and at almost 2 months.

EE as in Easter Egger? As far as I know, I don't have one

Aliss: BSL or marans (mix?) maybe?
Esme: BSL
Magrat: SLW
Gytha: SLW
Sybil: Mystery chicken. Probably RSL. Maybe golden comet but I know that's just another name for a random RSL hybrid or... something like that

Pecking order is... I don't even know right now. Aliss and Sybil have settled their differences. I think Sybil ranks higher than Magrat now. Esme is still at the top as far as I know. I don't know about Aliss and Gytha.
