What was good for you in 2024?

I had, overall, a pretty good 2024! Sure there were some bad moments, but I try to take the good things more seriously than the bad. Any bad things that happen, either let them go, or work on solutions!

I'm looking forward to 2025! A little nervous, but at the end of the day, isn't a new year just another day?

Some 2024 highlights:

Got my first ever chickens in July! I spent so long wanting chickens, now that I have them, I'm sometimes left scratching my head. Now what?! They're only a few days (more or less) from being 6 months old! Time just flies...

This summer marked 10 years with my boyfriend! We've been long distance for at least half of that time because of situations... Mostly his father being incredibly abusive and controlling... But I love my BF more and more every day. He's smart, silly, loving, and one of the strongest people I know, to keep on going despite his situation. I adore him and look forward to another decade with him

My dad and I had a fox squirrel friend named Peanut over the spring and summer! She would eat from our hands... But she disappeared sometime in late summer or early fall, I can't remember exactly. She was clearly pregnant so I hope she just found a good new spot to raise her kits. She was a sweetie. I have a couple videos of her (unless I deleted them to make space in my phone— I don't think I did! I hope not!). Maybe I'll share if anybody is interested...

I got into some activism! My 2025 resolution is to get a death row inmate penpal! There have been lots of commuted sentences recently, which I'm ecstatic about (I'll leave it at that, I know this isnt the thread to talk about this kind of stuff. Still, I'm so happy about it so I wanted to share).

That's all I can think of. I know there's more, but my memory is bad

I hope this year brings enough good to everybody to outweigh the bad. Love you all!

It is wonderful how you're going right now after only six months. You have achieved so much

Wow you have only had your chooks that long! I thought you had them for ages and ages! You are doing a wonderful job with them.

As for what’s next with them, well my goal with my chooks is the sit on a chair and watch their antics! Funny creatures aren’t they.
