I tried wrapping it up per instructions but she pecked it off.
She’s limping around, but eating well (better than me)
Well I figured she probably would. Ruth was the same this past summer. Took her almost 10 weeks to heal her foot. I ended up locking her in with Mr P and the old ladies.

I broke three toes (thank you Truly…), so I know how sore they can be. If you have any pain meds you can give her some at night to help with inflammation and for her to rest.

Alex - why are you not eating?! Don’t make me whoop you derrière mister. At least try some soup. And maybe some boiled eggs and toast.

Had the dumplings out in the Summer House for a bit, brought them back in after an hr, very cold here today.

Clyde entertained us with his charming ways of nest building.

Oh and I heard a crash and everyone squawking and ran so see what happened and Clyde gyrated that bin right off the ledge 😳
It just struck me....Curly and Betty are both satin frizzles. Is Clyde silky frizzled? I'm not quite sure what a frizzled silkied feathers do, but maybe why he's so "untidy" compared to his Dada?

Glad others have my drama!

Can you lock the feed in the coop with your ladies?
I have water and feed available for the Rockettes up in the rafters. Feed and water in the run for Nacho and her littles. I have separated them from the others, hopefully to save the remaining chicks.

Made homemade suet for the chooks.
One chunk, and they were instantly addicted... and piled up at the gate, asking for more
