Well it’s unknown about Curly being a frizzled satin silkie, never gave it any thought before. As for what a regular silkie frizzled would look like I am not sure. Interesting question. It just struck me....Curly and Betty are both satin frizzles. Is Clyde silky frizzled? I'm not quite sure what a frizzled silkied feathers do, but maybe why he's so "untidy" compared to his Dada?
Yes let’s go with that…..Facebook friended one of the "black tailed red" polish breeders. Here's his birds from last year I believe.

Hubby says "that's a nice cock there" which, while sarcastic, means he approves of me moving forward towards getting my own reds.
I mean...kiddo getting her redbirds. Yeah
Nope, frizzled silkies are just that, what you are calling satin frizzles. To my knowledge technically the "silkied" feathers do not "frizzle".It just struck me....Curly and Betty are both satin frizzles. Is Clyde silky frizzled? Both partridges are pullets. They have the warmer tan coloring of a pullet/hen. I did question one of them at 4ish months old for a bit. By 5 to 6 months if it were a cockerel the vibrant red feathers would have appeared in their latest juvenile molt. I had a partridge roo before called Ezzie. Those red feathers popped in clear as day around 5 months. Only 2 of the silkies are currently as big as their momma Poppet so there is still time for some growing. Branch was also bigger then Poppet so it is not surprising a few are bigger then the rest.5 Silkies for sure look female. One Partridge ~ I'm not sure ~ seems bigger than the other Partridge but Silkies come from 2 up to 3 lbs so size is no indication. Plus Partridge Silkie boys get darker Silkie streamers & tail feathers in their tail poof.
Approx 7-1/2 months Partridge girl & boy

But what happens if a satin silkie carrying a silkie gene and showing frizzled, passes both a silkie gene and the frizzle gene to offspring when bred to a silkie.Nope, frizzled silkies are just that, what you are calling satin frizzles. I'm going by what I once read on the "Silkies are simply spectacular" thread on here long ago.But what happens if a satin silkie carrying a silkie gene and showing frizzled, passes both a silkie gene and the frizzle gene to offspring when bred to a silkie.
The chick would be ‘pure’ silkie, but how would the frizzle gene get expressed?
