What’s your temps there?

It’s -11C, been steady at that temp since Sunday. I am so fed up with winter, this morning I caught myself looking to see where the mildest winter in Canada was located: Victoria - seems they have palm trees growing in the city it’s mild.

Might just pack up and move there!

Ok yes we had snow last year, but it didn’t last long and it was mild.

Keep an eye on that...possibility of perforated skull with brain growing into the perforations.

Yep, and also I read somewhere the rounded heads likely are Roos, I tried to pick the least rounded ones.

3F yesterday evening, but still air which makes it seem balmy. 8F this morning and it’s blowing. The Buff O’s do not like it either way, and they seem to want to stand by the panel heaters more than Hazel (Buckeye) does. They also seemed to wingspread more than she did in the summer heat, which I had attributed to her being older. Could it be a breed-wide thing?
They all will make forays over to the feeder and the two waterers, and scratch around some, but just in this area, basically between the lower left corner and this upper right corner. They aren’t straying far within the run, this is the most-protected spot besides inside the coop.

Those are cold temps! It’s been -11C (12F) here outside, and my gang are not happy with the cold, it’s about -1C in the barn so I am not too worried about most of them. The elderly and moulting ones are in with Mr P and they all take turns under to heater warming up.

Here I have Fluffy, Henny, and Mrs LC under it.

Lows in upper teens F, highs low 30s-upper 30sF with surprisingly no wind.

That is cold. Not that cold here - but nasty with the wind. Mine only have the panels when they roost. So far they seem OK even though most of them are molting (only Tassels and Piglet are fully feathered).
Speaking of which, when I went out with fresh water just now, I got hit in the head by a flying Tassels. I don't know what got into her, but she launched herself off the ladder right at my head!

I guess comparable to here…. Though we sure haven’t had anything near freezing in a week (32F), since Sunday it’s just been consistently cold at -11c and snow.

Not overly worried about the chooks, being inside the barn it’s still around the freezing mark. And at night the Hem House was at +4C last night. Just my older ladies and Mr P and the ones moulting who are miserable.
