I heard about that. I fly drones, and idiots make it harder for those of us who follow the law to fly the drone.
Here, you need a license to fly one, and can only fly in certain areas. Farmers can fly them to monitor their fields. Which they do, looking for pests damaging crops, also any damage from wind and heavy rain.

My little drone can really fly

Why would a roo attack a hen? I thought roos liked to accumulate hens for a harem?

Roos & alpha hens are strange. We always make sure our Dana gets 1st choice on treats. & she'll get agitated if DH picks up another hen before her. Alphas have to be given 1st notice on all occasions & then the alpha decides when to step back to allow the lesser birds through. Silly little things like that about alpha roos also applies to alpha hens when there is no flock roo. Can't pet them on the head or back, has to be on the chest, So many little chickeny things to know.
Young Roos will just run at, and grab a hen or pullet.

Shirley tried that with Raven - it did not end well for him! She gave him a good thumping.

He has his ladies whom he likes and they like him - Pepper-Larry, Butters, and Cayenne. He tries to jump the others but they want nothing to do with him.

Clyde has his favourites also, Patches and Silver are his girlfriends. The three of them hang out together.

Mr P likes Marty and Penelope, also the silkies and my cousins other two hens, Blanche and Sophia. He tolerates the rest, but he also likes his daughters (the ones who pick at him), he will let them do what they want to him.

Mr LC is an enigma - he isn’t breeding his sister Mrs LC, she screams blue murder if he tries, and I don’t see him breeding (trying) the other hens anymore. Not sure what’s up with him.

He likes to herd them around and he sticks with Jaffarra, and the Buff Orps. The ones he grew up with.

Their pen is huge. It's most of the neighbor's property, just fenced off. It's way bigger than their old pen, so I don't think they would be bored. They have a lot of enrichment (woods, lots of space to run around) and food and water within easy reach. Beauty is also very picky. She won't eat carrots, crab apples, sweet apples, and certain types of food.
Any idea the age of all the cattle & horses? I would assume younger means more energetic/troublesome?

I hear ya! My DD rescued a 4-mo-old puppy that no one would adopt cuz the lower eyelid was pulled away from the eyeball ~ the rescue organization said they only could afford $300 in their budget for surgery but it still wouldn't be a permanent fix. DD/SIL adopted the pup & spent almost $1,000 for the proper eye surgery & she turned out beautiful plus she turned out to be a people person & great w/other dogs. Our pets require medical attention as much as people. It's the world of pet ownership.

DD's Bully-mix "Quincy" w/ normal eyes now

My sweet Duke boy. Pitties are the biggest babies ❤️

I thought Mr & Mrs LC were OEGB but Mr & Mrs LC are Dutch Bantams! OEGB have way longer taller skinny leg stature. Dutch Bantams are the bantam of choice in most 4-H or poultry shows cuz of their easy handling.

Dutch Bantams are a true bantam ~ not a down-sized standard breed.

They see those pin feathers and know they can get a blood meal. Vicious little brats!
Hmmm, maybe put some hot sauce on his feathers? ???? (might need to put some oil on his skin first so he doesn't get irritated by it). Might give them pause? Since he can't preen his top knot feathers, any bad tasting thing might work????

Duke has an Alapaha Blue Blood look to him. It's a desirable trait to have a spot or shaded area over one eye ~ & they come in many color varieties.

I love most breeds but Bullys have beautiful skull form. Our Rotts had the same squared look too. I just love it when they are marshmallows yet smart enough to follow commands & protect on an instant order.

Do chickens dislike hot sauce?
