A few more from this morning.

I have dealt with this for over a week now. I really have not complained too much. I am about to reach my limit and start complaining away.

I brought my camera out with me to feed this morning. To my shock Poppet decided today was the day to venture outside of the coop with Turkey. Turkey is NOT a fan of the snow and they stay out for a few minutes before Turkey ran back to the coop leaving Poppet in Russ's stall calling away. She eventually gave up and went back into the coop with her.

I'm officially calling Turkey a girl. I got my hands on her out in the daylight. Turkey has a non-exsistant comb. I can now tell though it will be a straight comb. With a straight comb at 6 1/2 weeks if Turkey was a cockerel I should see some growth.

These are terrible pictures. I tried but Turkey is just so black the camera would not focus clearly enough but I did manage a few. This also gives you a good size reference of just how small she is next to her momma. I swear she is the size of one my marans or maran cross chicks at a week old.

I'll always remember you when I see a Super Scooper & always remember @featherhead007 when the local aircraft fly overhead . We must be in flight zone pathways ~ even the Pasadena Rose Parade bombers zoom over us every year!

I will research this though. It’s interesting.

Just sayin'...if Hoovers sold you OEGB chicks than you were short-changed about 4 or 5 inches of tall thin legs on Mr & Mrs LC. OEG & OEGB are known for extra long legs. Maybe Dutch Bantam is crossed into Mr/Mrs LC? Another puzzle...but that makes no difference on their cuteness & great personalities.

My DD & I did that once a few yrs ago (before chickens) sitting in the back yard & a small plane kept circling our yard overhead so we never did it again. Now DH & I have 2 large roofed patios, 4 trees, & 3 popup canopies in the yard so there's nothing aircraft peepers to see into our backyard.

Those training pilots from El Monte or Brackett airfields are the rudest around here. They aren't supposed to fly over certain spaces or altitudes & as soon as we bring out the binoculars to tag the wing ID they know & tilt the plane out of range! They knew they were in the wrong & didn't want us to report but rudely kept doing it over & over again. Best to avoid those taunting trolls who ruin it for responsible aviators!

Rant tx ~ nothing for pilots to stare at except patio roofs, popup canopies & overgrown trees or dying garden beds.

Off topic but an adorable cat at the end.
This guy is super informative

The video is so cute. He obviously loves his kitty if only he fed it unprocessed food instead. Cat food mfrs use chemical taste enhancers to the overprocessed fillers that cats no longer have interest in hunting mice, rats, gophers, etc, & instead wait around to eat the addictive additive flavors in cat kibble or canned food. If owners only knew.

My only pic of our farm Calico "Shirley Temple." Purchased pet food was not a farm practice. Meat scraps, eggs, leftover cooked veggies, goat/cow milk or homemade cheese, all other food foraged by farm cats was gophers, field mice, lizards, etc.

The Hoover's website does not describe them as Old English Game Bantams but as Old English Bantams and to me their pictures look just like Mr and Mrs Little Chicken.

Beauty is five years old, not sure about Juice. Cattle are a mix of calves and cows that are around, something like 3-4 years old as an estimate. Breeds are Red and Black Angus mixed with some longhorns that are missing their horns (except one)

Why does the owner have livestock when he/she is not there for them? Seems weird?
