Thirsty Thursday

Tried to get some photos of chooks this morning but I was swamped with digging out here.

We have about a foot of snow here, the chooks had a grand time with the snow I tracked in the barn from giving the horses hay.

I cleaned stalls but didn’t empty the wheelbarrows as the snow is too deep to push them through and up the manure pile.

I just managed to mostly clear my truck of snow and I had to come back in my boots were full of snow and my hands were freezing!

It’s hard slogging through the snow, hopefully my niece can get out here this afternoon and clear the driveway and up to the barn for me.

I’ll still have to clear the manure pile path (by hand) and dig out the barn doors, and clean the poopies from the roosting ledge, sweep the floor of chook poops and fill the water buckets for the horses. But that can wait till the afternoon.

Right now I need to finish cleaning off the truck, and try to get to work. I don’t worry about Ol Blue getting through the snow, it’s the other idiots (who moved up here from Toronto during Covid) who don’t have snow tires and don’t know how to drive in snow.

I am so done with winter.

That's a lot of snow and work. Please be careful and don't work yourself into trouble.

Shes so cute! I love lavender orps!
I am also a fan!

I have tried those feeders. They don’t work well, they just make a mess. Just FYI
Thanks for the info. I just remembered having them with the childhood chickens so I thought they were good.
Are you prone to nightmares Jenn? So sorry 😢
Yeah, I used to get night terrors. I learned how to lucid dream to deal with them so thankfully most of my nightmares end up with me in control.
