Looks cold there, are you still in a snow deficit there? doesn't look like a lot on the mountains.

My cat takes one look outside and runs and hides under the chair!
That pic was when it was sub zero. Then it dumped snow. Now we're in False Spring: above freezing during the day, below freezing at night.

Just starting that here and it makes the places I cleared more dangerous. Water melts into the cleared path and then freezes. Almost went down on my way to sit with the Princesses. I forgot my phone when I went out so here is a BFTP picture for tax.
I think it is baby Piglet.

Well, second change of plans: Chicks have been ordered! Coming from Mount Healthy on March 24th or 25th. Meyer was out of what I wanted until August. There's been a run on chicks, so I ordered from Mount Healthy now basically to assure that I can get them at all. And the order grew, because of order minimums, to:
  • 2 Chocolate Orpington hens
  • 1 Chocolate Orpington Rooster
  • 2 Easter Egger hens
  • 2 Barnevelder hens
  • 1 Buff Orpington hen
  • 1 Blue Australorp hen
  • 1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte hen
All in all, very excited! We now have three months to start and finish the coop. Luckily, we had a friend offer to help us build who worked in construction. Now, to expand the plans. Chicken math is no joke! I originally thought 6 was a good number, now it's 11 if they send an extra, which they often do!:th
Oh I am eggcited for you! Can’t wait to see them ♥️

Maybe in a couple weeks I can order some and pick them up at the TSC in Niagara Falls. It’s not too far for me- about 1 hr and 45 min. Not including crossing the border line up time.

Have lunch at Olive Garden, pick up some stuff I can’t get up here, grab a few chickies 😁 and come on home.

Wonder what I need to do to bring chickies up here…? I know what to do with the horses to get them across the border - easy peasy - but poultry could be an issue!
O
My Gosh!!!

Did I really write “a couple of weeks” there ?!?!?!?!

NO!!!! NoNoNoNoNo!!!!!!

I meant A COUPLE OF YEARS!!!!!
