I feel like I owe SHRA tax.....

I picture Aster asking Hattie, "when is the rain going to end?" and Hattie replying, "when it does little lady, when it does".

There is a new-ish thing, egg yolks from chickens raised with cats, if fed to the cats, neutralizes the allergen in their saliva/dander. You can buy it premade or of course grow your own.

I will have to use it if I ever get a cat again. I am pretty allergic.
TeeHee...I'll wait to see if it works for you before we consider it ❣️

George has a announcement!!

If all goes well in a little over 3 weeks he will be a daddy. No, I am not incubating for myself as tempting as it is with a broody hen. I have 18 eggs being delivered to my co-worker tomorrow for her sister. She is aware that this time of the year I cannot guarantee good fertility. Her husband has his own chickens and she just completed the first hatch of the year for him that had poor fertility. She has decided she wants pretty yard birds of her own for her personal pets. She has a cabinet incubator empty, clean and ready to go along with a hatcher and a brooder. She is also going to take the first round of fertile silkie hatching eggs when they are ready. We are also this summer going to go in halves together and get a dozen of those chocolate silkie hatching eggs. I want chocolates, I do not need a dozen, I can handle 6 in hopes of a few chocolate pullets.
