Those are gorgeous. I loved the speckles so much. My favorite though has to be to be the random oddly “printed” eggs like something went awry in the paint booth That egg is not dirty at all its just how it came out. Typically this chicken would lay a finely speckled Olive egg but clearly something went haywire.

It's possible for an olive egger to have brown spotting. Brown eggers are used in creating olive eggers so not unusual to have an array of spot patterns. The following website has lots of varied olive egg spotting & even has a breeding chart showing how the olive eggers are created. I found it interesting.

And do not know what happened but he is quite lame on his right leg. Likely fighting with the other Roos.

These Roos frustrate me to no end!

Anywhooo, I gave him some Tylenol and told him ‘rest, and elevate’ - he Cocorico at me and ‘hobble-strutted’ away.

Elphie is so pretty and svelt.

It really was quite frightening.

Elphie was a beautiful lady and one of the great ones.

Awww what a lovely picture of her and Gucci - that is one for the photo album!

And in the first photo - it looks like she is being a cat whisperer - or is the cat being a kid whisperer??????

Her and Gucci are on the wall and a coffee mug I had made for my daughter.

From the start she got right down with the cats and spoke to them. Never grabbed them like most kids do. Davis just loves her. She is the only human he comes running to see when they enter the house. Usually he hides when people come over.
