Going to go pick up the chicks shortly! Fingers crossed all in the box are doing well! They sound healthy, I heard them in the background of the phone call. They definitely have good sets of lungs!

What a fine looking lady she is!
Oh yes - I zoomed in this time - yes and a lovely comb. Though I am not overly confident in this variety of chook. So they have large wattles on hens?I thought I saw wattles on him....

You sound very gentle, no worries. Since I don't know how to get any CBD hemp for her to eat right now, I bit the bullet and ordered organic distilled CBD oil yesterday from Cornbread Hemp in Kentucky. It has the least amount of THC I could find. I looked there and elsewhere, and for CBD oils for pets, but this for humans actually had the least THC, and I was sold on the supposed organic quality and no other added ingredients, and the two small-business owners. Hopefully it's all as they say.I mean this gently but... Diane sounds psychotic like a brain or injury pain?! We had a problem of a large bully hen attacking a small Silkie any chance she got. Before learning about the CBD we rehomed her cuz she was ok w/ people... just not other hens. Diane is beyond average aggression if she is causing injury. I'd wear goggles myself just in case she decided to go for the eyes. Chickens can jump high & fast to attack. I've even seen two normally gentle Silkies jump 4 ft in the air at each other when in a broody mood!
Two normally sweet Silkies who jumped in the air at each other seen here toodling around in better moods 2013 - 2014

That bird looks to me like an Indigo Bunting, not technically what is a Bluebird, though maybe you all call these birds bluebirds? The all-blue breast, and the hard-to-see but possibly chunky beak and the flatter head all point to a bird here in the East that would be an Indigo Bunting. Are you in Montana? That does appear to be somewhat out of range, but you could have one passing through or blown off course.Saw robins back almost a week ago.View attachment 4080281bluebirds came back Thursday, saw the meadowlark on Friday

At this age NO hen should have wattles....I think....Oh yes - I zoomed in this time - yes and a lovely comb. Though I am not overly confident in this variety of chook. So they have large wattles on hens?

It's a mountain bluebird, about the same size as a chickadee. That bird looks to me like an Indigo Bunting, not technically what is a Bluebird, though maybe you all call these birds bluebirds?
