Already that old! Wow time fliesYep, wattles and only just started growing the tail
I'm thinking boy too.
They are 3.5 weeks old right now, so it's getting to where I can tell girls and boys.

This guy?I like the Chicken Attack video. Do I dare share it? Maybe just look it up. That guy can yodel!!!
Now I need to go take some photos of my chickens to get out of jail.![]()
Pretty feathers! Moults can really change a chicken's appearance & surprise us! I love new moults to see pretty feathers before they get worn & tatty & discolored especially from sun bleaching, dustbaths & muddy weather.Happy Monday everyone.
Here is Piglet’s mug just before she got bowled over by the wind yesterday.
I am a big fan of her post-molt feather patterns.

Oh sure they aren’t!A jacuzzi does sound nice. Decades ago I had one but when you're younger it's not appreciated. Now I'm too old to crawl into one.
Exercises are tough/painful... but if no pain, there's no gain. Therapist has extended another 4 weeks of appts.
BTW ~ the chickens in bed are not mine... it's an internet pic![]()
I figured you would know that! It’s “Chicken Talk'' By Richie Kavanagh - Irish![]()
I won’t go there.Ah, thank you! The size difference is significant.
Calandar girl
She’s beautiful, but she doesn’t show enough gams for a calendar girl pictureCalandar girl![]()
We know our animals best & do our best for them. I hope something works out for you guys. We gave our bully every chance before rehoming her... except she was the opposite of Diane ~ good w/ people but not w/ chickens. You sound very gentle, no worries. Since I don't know how to get any CBD hemp for her to eat right now, I bit the bullet and ordered organic distilled CBD oil yesterday from Cornbread Hemp in Kentucky. It has the least amount of THC I could find. I looked there and elsewhere, and for CBD oils for pets, but this for humans actually had the least THC, and I was sold on the supposed organic quality and no other added ingredients, and the two small-business owners. Hopefully it's all as they say.
She was on relatively good behaviour yesterday, very much calmer, to a surprising degree. But I am aware how changeable she is and on watch for any escalation.
She is first to "greet" me when I come into the run, even trying to peck my hand through the wires unlatching the lower door. Yesterday I picked her up right away, and held her while I unlatched the door to the further penned-in area so they could all forage outside supervised. I do keep my eyes away from her when holding her close, ever since she pecked my cheek, but I think that peck, which was light, was because there's a mole there on the side of my face, and that's exactly where she pecked. It's hands that get her riled up right now. Both Hazel and she do some light fashion work on my clothes, and that's okay.
But I keep a lookout as to what might be interesting them or bothering them whenever I hold any animal.
Another song I sing to her sometimes is "Psycho Chicken" a la Talking Heads...DH calls her "Tire-Biter", a reference to Firesign Theater.
Ooo la la! Very snazzy! She is a beauty
