TY for her pic Doms are great. I wanted a sweet medium size breed around our Silkies & this fit our need. Yes, Doms are lap chickens. This one jumps into my DH's lap every day.

Maude is the sweetest! I get mobbed when I go to hang out with the chicks these days. I am really looking forward to outside hangs when the fencing and run is done (hopefully this weekend!!! Cmon Washington weather!)

We don’t know much but the slim tail feathers, the way it walks and the way the poof looked when it was tiny (more oval than round). From what we read Polish are pretty hard to guess based on look, so it’s really a waiting game

My experience is the boys are fairly obvious early on. Their combs get dark pink around the 5 week mark and they pop wattles around then too. But again this is only in my personal experience of a handful of polish.
