Well, unless you had plans on letting someone hatch I fail to see how that would be a problem. I doubt it will happen, but there is still time. The ultimate trick to play on our mighty queen would be if she were to go broody. We know she thinks of Polish as not real chickens as well hence my drawing attention away from you. If the queen herself hatched chicks, no matter the breed, silkies or polish they would be REAL chickens. Not just any real chickens mind you, they would be royalty as they would be hers.

Mama nacho is being a bit aggressive today. All I want to do is feed her and the chicks. All she wants to do is bite me and peck my face off. The little ones just want to know where they belong in this great big world
I’m going to have to separate them from mama someday

Christmas is the best time - you get festive names like Holly and Jolly.

Next year it will be Mistletoe and Poinsettia
