Hey, I just figured a new way to entertain the little chooks.
I put my iPhone on the floor, with a continuous loop of YouTube music videos, and they are mesmerized by it!

Meanwhile I tried that with my chooks one day and I scared the living daylights out of them! They all ran outside squawking

Clyde the Brave

Poor boy is just wheezing up a storm and sneezing - he scared the crap out of some birds in the trees he sneezed so loud!

Anywhoo I have given him some of Truly’s prednisone. Dose is 1-2mg/kg BID (that means twice daily).

He weighs 1.45kg
The dosage I have is 20mg/ml.

I gave him .05ml of this which equates to 1mg. I was afraid to give him too much, I’ll assess him in this evening and in the morning give him another dose.

And he is still moulting horribly. Poor little dude, I can hardly snuggle him he is so uncomfortable.

I am hoping the prednisone helps with his breathing at least.

This breaks my heart. The poor guy.

Mr P is back to his normal self today, I kept them all in the Rooster Run and let the rest of the gang run free. This was a peaceful situation for all of us, thankfully!

I even let some of the older ladies visit him which he was happy to oblige them.

That is good to hear! I had no doubts though, you have a lovely place for the chooks and they feel comfortable there
