Yep she’s a characterAlso love the asymmetrical wattles to go with the comb!
The older he gets the worse he is!I've not had a Polish rooster so all of my knowledge is through others. They do seem to be friendly and take good care of their ladies. I do know they can be extremely brave and will fight larger animals to save their flock, even when other roosters run. This might be Mr Pompei's issue as he keeps taking on other tougher roosters.
Oh sure, he’s big fat and beautiful too, but is he smart?Angel turned into a little Spitfire (that's the name of a plane too) & she flies well too ~ as most bantams seem very capable. So cute!
As for the sweet little CornishX people have processed them anywhere from 6 to as late as 9 weeks depending on how much difficulty the birds are having in movement or health issues. My friend had 12 chicks & half of them died for various reasons by 8 weeks but the 6 left were avg 5-lbs after processing. Waiting till the chicks were older was risking losing all of them.
Do you plan on keeping a roo? (Nestle). Those Choc Orp roos are big beautiful balls of fluff!

I have some kind of degenerative back condition too. I hope they find good news.Don’t worry Jenn, I’m okay. The MRI is for my back, to check for nerve damage and disc degeneration.
Good question...since I've never had a full-on adult roo of any kindOh sure, he’s big fat and beautiful too, but is he smart?
