12? I have 5 boys that I saw crow this morning, another 5 that aren't yet, and 2 that I think are boys but could be wattle-y girls.
Plus 11 eggs hopefully going into lockdown today, who knows how many dudes are in that group.

Meant that we could even get an apartment under the L in St. Louis and no problem Or any other property near an airport

I like to sleep with fans on, and a train ride white noise machine. So relaxing

Thanks. Urgent care gave me stronger steroids and antihistamines, and Friday I see my PCP to schedule allergy testing and figure out how to get an epi pen covered by insurance without an ER allergy visit on file. My insurance is very picky about how they cover things, the code has to be just right.
Thankfully I didn't tip over from "bad allergic reaction" to anaphylaxis. He said when I get home to take benadryl and sleep the rest of the day.

@RebeccaBoyd I'm so happy you got your blue chick! I hope...3 or 4 more blues hatch for you so you can have a party pack of blue silkies like I do!

Squirrel.
There is a squirrel that has been showing up lately. Not normal in this area.

Well, today it tried getting close to the chickens. They were too scared of it to chase it, but I'm sure they would if it tried to get too close. The squirrel did let me get fairly close though.

You can also always collect the egg an do a gender DNA test - the membrane needs to be intact in the egg. That’s what I did with Bert and Betty.

That was a thought and possibly something I might do in the future.

I will not attempt it with this hatch though. I have had way to much trouble keeping the humidity stable. It is still trying to give me a bit of a fit. As of 2 minutes ago I have 3 confirmed pips, another one rocking and rolling who may be pipped and lots of constant cheeping from those eggs. You could not pay me to open that lid for a brief second to collect that eggshell before another hatches. However many I decide to hold back and raise I am going into it knowing full well they could all be boys. Until their gender is known they will all be treated the same and I will enjoy every moment with them. I do not mind raising boys, I feel I am good at bringing up stable roosters. If I do get a few boys they will be 4 to 5 months old at the youngest before I know it. By then I will have a good read on their personalities and quirks. I will not rush into rehoming them and I will be honest when they are listed about that. I do my best to find good homes for any roosters I have to place and take my time. Sometimes it is aggravating, but, the boys are worth that effort. I owe them that much if I cannot keep them after bringing them into this world.

My MRI took way too long to get today. I was sent into a room full of people who seemed very upset . Of course I had to lighten up the room for my own mental health. I started by saying “hey people, how long have you been waiting here ? This guy next to me has cobwebs down his back! I hope we don’t have to wait too much longer, I know this hospitals reputation for speedy service and excellent caring staff. NOT!”
A lady spoke up and started a conversation in general. By the time I was called in for the procedure, that room was laughing and spitting jokes. Hysterical people woke up!!
I left the room just in time, not to get into trouble with security!
