• giveaway ENDS SOON! Cutest Baby Fowl Photo Contest: Win a Brinsea Maxi 24 EX Connect CLICK HERE!
I’ve been using hens for brooding so long that I never needed an incubator. But I’ve also lost a lot of chicks that deserve life. I’ve always wanted a Brisnea product for their superior performance, but hard as I try, my cute chicken pictures are just not good enough to warrant a win. Ever since I’ve been with BYC, Purina feed has been selling even more.
What I’m trying to say, is that I don’t need a free Brisnea, but would like to have my beautiful innocent baby chicks recognized for something!!
My pics are always cr*p too. 14 yrs & I got nothin' either. Can't blame the judges for going after the posed & expensive camera pics though:idunno.

Honestly room, game chooks can be trained to be lap chooks. I almost have Nacho trained, but one of her chicks, 🐥 is already waiting on a name! I thought about Marie, my plane is already named after her. Crazy that they both can fly! View attachment 4118822
Looks like a plush toy on your back. Which chicken is she? How'd you ever take that pic backwards? Too cute...

Can you call them back up? Call the cops again to see if they can get them to fix it?
I have reported it as a new outage. They are bound to come back at some point as they have left thousands of dollars of equipment in my driveway including a cute little digger that I am inclined to borrow for some projects in the back yard!

Hmm. If they never fix the line within a day or two I'd be very tempted to borrow it...

If they come back out to find you using it....tell them it's the rent for equipment storage....or call the power company and tell them it $10/day/piece of equipment to store it. If there are no employees out there, you're storing it. If it's still there in a month, it's abandoned and you can auction, sell for scraps or do other things with it.

I sadly did not catch the shrink wrapped chick in time. It passed away within a hour of me getting it out of the shell. I'm so sorry little one. The rest appear healthy and strong but I know it is still very early. 3 days old, I can stop holding my breath, if they make it a week I can relax.
Oh no. So sorry. I was so hoping it would make it. :hugs :hugs

I would plan to use it not sell it!
I have a huge pile of wood chips that I am moving one back-breaking wheelbarrow load at a time.
I want to mulch around the electric fence to reduce it shorting out on tall weeds.
That little digger has a nice deep bucket and would make short work of the job!
Unfortunately however two new crews have shown up and are busy digging up the pole and there is a big debate on how to get the truck with the new pole down my driveway which is long and difficult to navigate.

I didn’t get far with the mulch project before the rain deluge hit.

The rain is too heavy for the Princesses to venture out so I missed my chance to get a tax photo of a chicken on one leg in the dandelion lawn for Alex. All the dandelion clocks will be gone after the downpour. So instead my tax photo is spoiled Princesses nice and dry in the Palace.
