Note: my father was a ww2 war hero. Radioman 1st class on the Indianapolis. Same ship that delivered the atomic bomb . He deployed off, just before it sailed off into history. (Lucky for me, because I was born)

DS gave me sad news. He had to go alone w/their sick kitty to the vet. Cleo was 18 yrs old & for several yrs they were giving her 2 insulin injections per day. It was finally time to let her go to kitty heaven . I can't post her sad little face wrapped in a blanket at the vet so here's a happier pose.

The juvenile chirping is always so cute How is their vision? Will you need to trim their eyebrows at some point?

I can see Niamh needing a trim but it looks like Nimue may have a more Phyllis like poof. I did not need to trim Phyllis.

Oh you have a ‘Tippy’ also I see. And now she seems to have trained Jaffarra to also make an escape over onto my neighbours place.

Then of course Mr LC feels he has to absolutely go and keep them safe. At this point I just chase The girls back, Mr LC comes running after them.

Brats! And then there is Laverne who thinks it’s her mission to run to the far back paddock right up against the back bush, that’s where the lions and tigers live! Sophia ran all the way down the small paddock and I had to go encourage her to go back to Mount Poopmore.

I get a lot of exercise….

They are keeping you young and fit.

Chickens & gardening! No better joy to share w/family! Love your grape arbor

Our blueberries were in pots side-by-side but apparently they don't like our hot SoCalif climate & were pekid the whole year till they finally died. It pays to plant only within a plant zone area. Tomatoes love sunny hot climates but we once planted some Russian & Hungarian varieties & they didn't do so well here.

Empty hiding spots ~ that's how we discovered recycled doghouses were useful the way you found a way to use a blanket rack as a perch.

Periwinkle is a real beauty

My garden at the barn is on the west side and gets very hot and sunny, I learnt long ago that petunias and geraniums were about the best flowers to plant there, impatiens would die it was too sunny and hot.

Tomatoes, beans, peas, lettuce - love it also. I have a Brussel sprout and cauliflower planted so I will see how that goes. Never grew those before.

Over the years I have planted other stuff but I don’t like to have the manage things, the tomatoes beans peas and lettuce are very low maintenance.

That funeral, though highly honored by the United States Navy, was no help to me that day. My tears didn’t stop. God please protect my father in heaven. I was there when he accepted you into his heart. I pray that all people accept the love that Jesus Christ has provided for all of us.
