@Marie2020 ~ just found out 10,000 people actually legally changed their first name to "SUBWAY" so they can get free sandwiches for the rest of their lives (or for as long as the fast food chain survives). Can you believe it?! The veggies are not pesticide-free or organic, the meat selections are mostly processed, & last time we were there they had no gluten-free breads.

Latest Mothers Day gifts from DS's TSC ~ we have a total of 6 coop sign gifts now but only one coop! I rather thought this one quite appropriate if only it was a Silkie pic since Silkies are the extremely fluffy breed

Red grapefruit- so jealous! I bet you can cut it to 4’ and keep it at that height. I have seen them (and orange and lemon) cut in a ‘square’ shape in the tree groves where they farm them in Arizona. I was told it’s so the harvest machinery can access them.

Can you prune yours like that I wonder?

I might try to grow a mango in a planter pot, keep it pruned to about 5’ see if I can have it fruit.

The chooks have never had mango, but I bet they would love it! Any bruised peaches I give to the chooks. Mum has some grapes I will try them with tomorrow.

We have to trim weekly a little at a time cuz in Spring the green trash bin fills up so quickly w/ all the pruned fast growth ~ citrus has to be thinned out in the center also. Mango I found for myself is not as beneficial as papaya for gut bacteria health but either fruit wouldn't work here cuz of pest/insect/rodent problems. I covet an apricot or sapote for fruit but alas! Same pest problems! So we count blessed with what trees/plants we have currently. I just pray the rodents leave our zucchini alone.

Yep I know, but the timing is really not good. It would be unfair to add to the dynamics of the flock right now. I want everything stable and calm. No drama!

My dietitian gave me a menu, and I have been trying to follow it. Led me to gastritis.
