Awww! Nyx... another baby that grabs me. I think SimpleJenn had a Nyx I loved too.

Some time during the night or early morning Snuggles the chick died. I don't know what from, she had no visible injuries. Maybe she fell off of something and broke her neck. The other 9 chicks are seemingly healthy and alright.

That's the hardest thing about chicks is losing them. It's a good thing my Mom shared that w/me on the farm about chicks or I'd be beating myself up for any sudden losses of birds

Always remember to think things through before you do something stupid!
It’s hot out today, so I went out to visit with the feathered family. I wasn’t wearing a shirt, and when those little claws scratched all over me, I said oops, big mistake, huge mistake.
I’m in the house now mending my wounds.
