What is That?!

Sonething new in the grass there has the Phyllistines startled. They did not eat it.

I need a refresher on which is which - now they have grown I can tell them apart but can't match head-gear to name.

The satellite internet dish (unused) has been hosting birds nests for many years. This is the current batch, looks to be 4 of them. I think mom is a brown wren maybe? Or a sparrow. She yelled at me from the tree so I'm leaving them alone now.

Last year it was a bird with teal eggs but a cowbird parasitized the nest and it was the only surviving chick.

i have a few that do that all the time, too - 2 of my DC in particular just HAVE to hold it...and I have a black BYM girl that just HAS to stand in it - in all but the bitterest of winter days!

Tough day for me today. This must be a lawless town. People are so rude about nothing and not a single rooster is allowed in city limits. Glad I didn’t go to Walmart today, but I did go get feed and some clothes for myself. (Feed is for the chooks not me).
I have to return to town tomorrow for yard work and then I will go to Walmart and get corn.
