The trouble with one day old is that the stats from studies suggest I would lose half of them to Marek’s in the first 2 months.
Same as if they were not vaccinated.
If I wait 10 days then 90% will survive.
Small breeds at 6 days maybe? Or take a risk on 5 days. Hard to know what to do.

Can you keep Tassels inside your garage away from any possible contaminant that may be Mareks heavy (dirt), and let the vaccine do its magic?

Well looks like the usual suspects are roosting where they should, the rest will be strewn about the barn, holding up doors and walls. The brats!

Well guess I will get everyone to bed, and then put myself to bed, 04:00 comes real early.

“Up from the eastern sea,
Soars the delightful day.”

Everyone have a lovely evening

“Ensanguining the skies
How heavily it dies
Into the west away;
Past touch and sight and sound
Not further to be found,
How hopeless under ground
Falls the remorseful day.”

(How clear, how lovely bright: by Alfred Edward Housman )

:duc@Mr's Bob. A little word of advice, because I think that you might have competition hun.
I'd keep a close eye on Niamh.

It looking to me like she's either got designs on your husband or she's trying to make a buck or two to buy meal worms with his gold ring 🤔

She's sure up to no good 😕
I need to be more careful around her for certain.

Marble has been digging food out from the side of the feeders, so I decided to give him a bowl full. I'm certain he bokked out a "thank you" as he ate! But...one side of his poof is broken feathers, darn those pullets are pulling a Mr. P on him!

Nosy Posy looking down on everyone that says silkies/polish aren't real.
They are real, they just aren't chickens. Care to debate it further?

Well it was not raining this evening so I could let the little ones out. After the big girls had gone on to bed the littles starting looking around for a place to roost. (Why do little chickens want to stay out so late?) They looked quite urgently. Many peeps were uttered.

They tried the stump for size but it was wanting.

They kept looking and looking.....
