I woke up at 4:45 to hens fussing--- I went to the coop . all were on the root looking at Onetail stiff on the coop floor. She didnt make it.
sad but thats life with chickens
As w/ most birds or animals... by the time they finally show symptoms it's 50/50 which way the tide turns. So sorry 🙁 she's gone :hugs

Yes, I was thinking of you😄!
Tonight I was in a foul (fowl) mood and they knew it! They marched into the hen house and other them Mr LC being a booger everyone behaved.

Even Sweetie who btw is feeling better, marched into the hen house. She got another dose of the Sulfa-trim I have her on, didn’t give her any Tylenol as she looked ok, her crop has food on it. And she was back up on the half door watching the sunset with her sisters.

Second outing & Pebble, the fluffy troublemaker

Rue came to visit with me for a bit.

Porcini - she has such unique coloring. I am looking forward to seeing what she will look like once she gets her adult feathers.

- The tale of a tiny fluffy 👑
Two ramps it is … they all refuse to go to the new shelf side and Pebble couldn’t or wouldn’t make the hop up and was complaining loudly and pacing back and forth upset he could not be with everyone else. He proclaimed injustice at
my audacity to change things with every peep!

Pebble, I hope you’re happy, I moved the ramp back. (He looks bit smug doesn’t he?)

Adorable. Those silkies have us wrapped around their tiny double toes do they not. Lucky my normal partridge chick, took double toes to a whole new level. She has a triple toe on one leg.

You are just so desperate to get out, aren't you?
1000001669.jpg

It's imperative to show the little ones in at least one post per day.

I went to the local pet shop to get more food for the little ones and I come across this rat giving me the side eye.

This one just wants to see who's there.

The same rat. I think these are albino rats but the sign just said "medium sized rats" or something like that.

Well friends, after a difficult and trying year, Junior year is officially over and everyone survived. I woke up this morning to a senior on my hands. I'm going to need all of their shortened summer vacation to adjust to this please.

How does she celebrate the start of summer, why, let me wake up to 5 additional teenagers at the house. A mere hour ago I got down to just 1 extra teen for the night. I am not complaining, I love her friends. They are respectful, and for a group of 6 in one room all gaming together quiet. My own teen is the loudest of them all. As soon as the pizza's get done they have me and my bro's girlfriend roped into a game of phase 10. I do not mind, me and Carla take pride into stomping children at cards and show no mercy.

I have goals this summer vacation, Rosie for sure needs tubes in her ears. We also find out Tuesday the results of her sleep study. Hopefully they found what they needed to get approved for her tonsils to be removed as well. This getting sick at the drop of a hat caused a lot of frustration this year and some stress playing catch up with her classes. I know if she is approved she is in for a rough road on recovery as she is older, but it needs done. I just dread the time she comes out of anesthesia. She has been under twice, and both times she comes out of it as hateful as a black snake.
