It's minty green and has a perfect strong shell. Glad I listened to my intuition and put out oyster shell yesterday!

Now...let's take bets on who laid it

Is it precious NavyBeans, who squatted last week and popped those impressive wattles over the past three days?

Or mighty BlueRaptor who also has quite the set (of wattles) and has willingly allowed Slowpoke to breed her?

They're the new hot item, as you can see.

Oh also, Breezy is in love with this bucket. View attachment 4138760
The girls say no to him, and rather than chase them he goes and courts his pot instead. Ain't she a beauty?

I'm gonna guess Blue (based upon comb development) laid that egg, but Navy isn't far behind.

Pony Sunday

I came across this story yesterday evening when I was watching 'Harry Wild' online. I noted this photo of a grey horse jumping a fence and so of course being a horse crazed fool I had to check it out. How I never heard of this horse before is beyond me!

Snowman and his cherished Hooman Harry DeLeyer

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowman_(horse)

What an awesome story, and that horse sure looks like he knew a good thing! Like my old stallion Indy, sounds like Snowman was a character who just enjoyed being with his Hoomans. Those horses are the ones worth their weight in gold ❤️
Oh, I love this horse and his story! I adored the book about how he came to Harry. Such a happy coincidence for Snowman! Thinking about the drafts I've known, it's even more amazing. He had the temperament of a draft, but the get up and go of a thoroughbred when he wanted to! The drafts I've met have been steady and dependable, but never in any sort of hurry.

He looks like a Dutch warm blood to me. Coming from an Amish farm I am sure he would have been some sort of warm blood

He could have even been a Standardbred, back then a horse could be registered in the standardbred register if they were any breed. My friend had a half Arab mare that was in the registry! She foaled many good trotters! The registry closed in 1973 to outside horses.

I am inclined to say at the least he is a warm blood by virtue of breeding (draft on a light horse). Mutt horses are the best in my opinion!
