Slowpoke and Marble have started fighting.
Marble can see well on one side, the feathers are in the way on the other side so he does a lot of twisty jumps, kiddo was helping me with filling feeders and I hurried us out of there before she got caught in the middle.

Two weeks until the boys fate appointment.

He's a decently good boy, but he grabbed a girl too close to Marble and set him on the warpath.
I don't even know if Marble is breeding the three or so girls that are crouching.

She sure is broody. Thanks so much for sharing these. I waited to view them until I had time to really appreciate them. Such a cutie. She reminds me some of Aster.

Been busy filling the garden beds today. Thankfully it's cool enough I can wear my sweater and big hat. Still can't be in sunlight without covering up or I break out in hives. Maybe I'm allergic to the sun.

I would love to know where you got your arbor! I spent ages looking for one we liked and it turns out we need way more than the one we got. Our grapes have really taken off this year.

My dad got it from a construction client. They were going to scrap it but he was like "I have grape vines I could use"
The style is "metal pergola" if that helps your search. We overlapped the side bars to make it smaller and the top are two bent pieces from my chicken run where the tarp collapsed it.

Just got back from dropping off my bf at the airport. I'm saaad, sad, sad... But we'll just pretend he's on a long trip and will be home again next year... For a week or 2.

He ADORED the girls and they were so interested in him! I should have gotten pictures. They accepted him immediately... And even squatted for him! Dirty cheaters!

Baby phoebes are doing well, here they are today. They grow so fast!
