I think those are roo feathers coming in actually
So...a roo will not be a good broody hen
I did send pictures to the breeder just to see what he thinks.
Listen Jenn, I have you beat. I have trained six wild game birds to cuddle and snuggle. They don’t even come close to the reputation of an old English game bird…. Just as long as my storage of cob corn 🌽 lasts!! Ha!

Run for safety and not choosing a sex!
Smart move by a Canadian !
Let me clarify: ww2 the Canadian army was the first to volunteer to fight. Their Air Force was the first to sign on to the Royal Air Force in England. And to add, my personal friends are Canadian citizens and I do so love them very deeply. I’m still not sure about PonyPoor, maybe she’s a lunatic? Maybe she just needs more baby chicks 🐤

I got some baby chicks for Ponypoor! I need to get some new satin silkies though, unless the blue-squad (Periwinkle, Navy, and Delft) take over as broody biscuits. I also have some cochins...but I've seen too many people say Marans are demon broodies
Edit
Wow let me finish my thought

Marans are demon broodies so I likely won't encourage them to sit unless they act sweetly. I lucked out with Samara and Morinth and they have me spoiled on how broodies ought to behave.
