Goose and Gryffyn update.

First off these darn girls are going to drive me batty.

I came home tonight from the Lorrie Morgan concert to find Gryffyn on Goose's nest. Goose was a foot over on Gryffyn's nest. Goose also has a chick. To make my life easier and safer for the chick I took Goose's eggs out from under Gryffyn. I thought it would be safe to temporarily place them sort of in front of Goose. Oh no, that neck can stretch a mile long and she was wanting all the eggs. So I had to fend off Goose for a few minutes while I got Gryffyns eggs out from under her. I then let Goose start tucking hers back under her while I gave a very grouchy Gryffyn her eggs. Ironically going by the shell the chick hatched out from, although it is black, it looks to have came from a cochin egg. I also think the chick hatched under Gryffyn but somehow wound up with Goose. Why ladies have we decided to play musical nests when the chicks start hatching. I do not have time for this and cannot sit outside all night and day tomorrow to babysit you both.

Ooo bad mamas!

While I was fending off my RLS aching legs (and arms) last night around midnight, I found myself scrolling through Brahma hatching eggs.

OMG what am I thinking?’ That is not ever gonna happen let me tell you! I am down to those three Roos and I am not risking more Roos.

And now is not a good time for me to add to the flock.

Anywhoooo - good morning every!

Late for chores today so I better get my derrière out there!
