I'd freeze 🥶
No thanks. How do those animals survive

As RM stated they adapt.

All the animals that live there are adapted to extreme temps both hot and cold.

Take Caribou here in the far north. They are extremely adapted to bitterly cold temps and in fact they suffer in the heat.

Now take animals that are in the tropics, they would not survive the winters but can handle heat and humidity fine.

Then there is me… I want it 28C and a nice breeze all the time 👍😊

Some of you will remember a couple years ago, I tried putting some mosquito screening up in the feedroom door to keep the chooks out.

Didn’t take them long to figure out how to get in.

Well I have upgraded to screen with magnets to close it.

I’m looking at Dakota, and she looks very healthy. I think she’s conning me about her health. She pretends to be weak and needs to get out of the heat and into the house. She’ll hang around my feet, pretending to peck at the grass, even if there isn’t any grass. She knows that soon enough, I’ll pick her up and go inside. (There’s cool air conditioning inside) there’s corn inside, fresh water and safflower seeds inside. Possibly some steak strips also. That Dakota, she’s no dummy. View attachment 4143543
Yes, they do have us trained - even if it means 'conning' us. :lau 🥰 :lau 🥰

Can you get some offspring from Thing's daughters? Hatch some of their eggs??

What does he have for a rooster?

It’s biting Sunday I guess. Gizmo bit me, Mr. Wyandottey (my buddy) bit me. The golden girls both bit me. The two little white ones bit me. Blue, bit me and flash bit me. That’s the last time I ever feed them hotdogs by hand ✋ in the frenzy, they think my fingers are food.

I just received a phone call from my neighbor. She said that one of my chooks is acting strangely. I asked her to describe what she saw from the fence line? She was in a panic and told me that one of my birds was in a hole and was trying to bury itself! 🤦‍♂️ I went outside and saw Nacho dust bathing near the front door.
I politely thanked her for the concern, and told Nacho not to bathe where hoomans can see her. I’m in the house now still laughing 🤣 :lau
