Every individual has a different metabolism. Don’t think you can rule out vitamin deficiency just because she is the only one.
Bernadette was the only chick that was vitamin B deficient that made her lose the use of her leg.
@knoturavggrl when Hector was a chick, he developed curled toes. The ladies with him did NOT. Chick boots were iffy at best. When I started supplementING their diet, his toes started straightening. Vitamin powder in their water, rice krispies in their feed. His toes never fully straightened, but did greatly improve.

As I recall, there were a lot of issues on BYC ultimately solved through boosting vitamins that year. I suspect there was a major change in ingredients across the country and across brands.
Mug for Monday

Color of this rooster: something with spots aka pretty but confusing 🤣

I am absolutely ZERO help on this one. I've no idea what his coloring should be termed.

Thank you, given the chaos in the world markets and supply chains, you may well have a very good guess on changes to feed ingredients. I will continue to supplement and hope she gets better.

🤣 on the colors of these SFH’s they are beautiful but wow the mixes of colors are just completely unique. The only thing I am sure of is they will all be mottled beyond that who knows! If you can’t guess then no one can.

Well that's rude.
Nancy said. So what.

ZZZ 💤 😴 💤
Now she's tired again waiting for the gardening to be finished

1 & 4 are cockerels. 3 might be also...and is not a buff orp x barred rock. The white (silver) would show in a sex-link type cross if done right, however, a barred rock crossed with a buff orp (roo x hen or hen x roo) will produce single barred birds (roo x hen: all offspring barred, possible gold leakage) or gold pullets and barred cockerels (hen x roo: gold pullets, barred cockerels possibly with gold leakage, also barred).

5. Looks more like a buff orp x black australorp. Keep an eye on the shoulders. If a rusty red tone appears, it's a cockerel too. Comb is in the can't quite tell either way stage.

2. Looks light enough to be a gold x silver cross (gold roo, silver hen)

6 and 2 are definitely pullets. Could be split to something, could be barred hen crossed with buff orp roo but not other way around.

Pretty birds, leakage is going to make them even more interesting
So interesting!! I appreciate your insight 😁
