Stitchin' chickens
@BY Bob Maybe Aurora is thinking she should have two pompom ladies as her entourage? I can picture it now, strutting across the yard to find some snacks!

Flight certification for multiple jet engine aircraft is a long process and well worth the money, but flying low into a fire zone is for those crazy pilots with a death wish. I only came in to get a cup of coffee. Can you fly a DC10? That’s what we use to drop fire retardant over large areas of our mountains.
Yes, I have flown a simulator at McDonal Douglas aircraft in long beach. But I had to tell the guy who questioned me, that I have no flight hours in a real cockpit. This is what my day looked like.
I wish I could have helped him.
A “goofy goober” with fuzzy feets. That’s so cute. I love that!View attachment 4160980

No babies yet, but PITA is clearly ready.
Yay! This is such good news.Auntie Aurora
The sweetest thing happened today and I did not film it. I was on breakup duty worried about interactions between the Phyllistines and the big girls so I did not think to grab my phone and film.
Later in the afternoon, the Phyllistines were over by the shed and they found something in the grass. I could tell from their voices they weren't sure what to do with it. Aurora must have heard them and she slowly walked over to them talking as she went.
I was sure she was going to jump them.
Instead, whatever she said kept the Phyllistines from running off. Trust me they have been avoiding all the big girls today. Instead, Aurora showed them whatever it was and taught them something. After a bit of pecking and conversation, Aurora walked away peacefully.
She is back at it. She may not have liked Phyllis, but these two she is teaching. She may be mean to Hattie but she had never been anything but nice to Aster. Auntie Aurora likes the kids.
Everyone is roosted as they should be in their coops. No roosting shenanigans tonight.
Awlll, he is adorable. He kinda looks like a kids drawling of a rooster in the best possible way.View attachment 4160980

Tell me about it! I am engaged in an epic battle against Mr.Rat.I put some mesh netting up to prevent the chooks from flying up on the door, Buttercup tried to fly up there but met with failure.

That's interestingI stayed up all night learning about the game birds. Especially the Old English jungle Fowl. They are a separate species of chicken.
Not like the Silkie, who are not really chickens at all. Game birds require a totally different type of diet, so now that I have half of my tribe being game fowl, I’m headed to TSC and buy them the correct diet. This situation requires more study!
