4am incubator check: 2 more hatched, so took the 6 out, split between Cardhu and PITA. Cardhu is now at 10, PITA at 7. Opened the coop so the breakfast demand can vacate ASAP (in about an hour). Came back to another out of the shell with another zipped. Total count out of shell 18.

I think there were about 10 duds, so 31 total, some of which will likely quit also....math says 13 maybes?

Most of these will be going to FIL when mamas are done. He doesn't want to deal with heat source and raising in the house. Not a problem....I'm not raising them in the house either...

Dad's dog treed a young raccoon in their driveway a bit ago.
I did a walkaround before letting the birds out, no sign of anything nearby so hopefully the darn thing won't even try the coops.

lightly feathered feet. (Some of the chicks have heavily feathered feet). Come on little one. Tell the rest to hatch so you can go to mama tonight.
