Lovely! So proud of my ladies, they queued up properly and laid me some wonderful eggies. Just had to wash them and now I'll need to sort out the ratio of these eggs to large ones for baking.View attachment 4164871

New pullet eggs I tend to ratio 3:2 for baking. I also have to do that with Lark and Indigo eggs. Sometimes I take the extra large/jumbo eggs (Pippa, Cuckoo (RIP) and a couple of others) and use 1 small and 1 jumbo when it calls for 2 large. So proud of my ladies, they queued up properly and laid me some wonderful eggies. Washing the plume off drastically reduces shelf life. Resist the temptation of rinsing your eggsLovely!
Just curious, do you always wash the eggs or only when soiled?
And do you dry each one with a towel?
I don’t usually wash mine but wonder if perhaps I should.
I don't wash until ready to use...unless I have really mucky one. Then it gets washed...and used immediately.Lovely!

It depends on how dirty they look, or if it's raining when I collect them. I wash, scrub with a dedicated scrubdaddy, and towel dry them before refrigerating.Lovely!
