Today is the girls' (approximate) hatch day! Dad bought them a small watermelon as a hatchday/stay cool treat for today and tomorrow, so I'll slice it and give it to them and take pics later!

Holly has the most DENSE feathering I have ever felt/seen! She has such thick feathers that I fear for her overheating. I am no at all worried about her managing the winter cold.

Okay so internet says wry neck. I got the selenium orange goo and gave each girl a tiny bit. The other chickens have been spending time with them, just now it was Delft who did not want to go to bed, she wanted to stay.

How they tuck themselves back as soon as I let them go. Poor sweeties
