Hazel's left eye continues to improve with Terramycin under the upper lid (sort of), it looks pretty good today. Her partial molt might be done too. She's acting like she feels so much better!

Right eye for comparison.

Left eye pics, still has bubbles but the swelling is way down. I'd say this might be as good as it gets, but I'm pleased, and she is too. She's on the Terramycin through July 8 (7 days of treatment). She's been very compliant getting the ointment in her eye, and not acting so nervous about it when I pick her up to do it. I don't have to wrap her.

Pretty pics & hen❣️

Unfortunately Yeti Feathers passed away last night. I accidentally buried her right next to a red ant nest.
Blue is able to hold her head up today, it's wobbly but she might be on the mend. She's feisty enough to fight against the medicine gel.
I’m so sorry for your loss. :hugs :hugs :hugs

Chicks today, they're about six weeks old now. Preparing the tractor coop for them. Meanwhile...

But you can really stretch out here

Below: Well I can do that up here too! Sleepy Isabel on the right. I don't know how but she is still with us. Growing, though still smaller, as the others, like @Ponypoor says, are growing like weeds. She's not far behind though. Maybe she's keeping up, even. She's still having a great time being a chicken, and I notice she has a friend that hangs with her. She's surprisingly active today. Naps yes, but so far the in-between activities are dominating today.

One of their favorite pastimes is log rolling and here is Isabel!

It also makes a great perch of course. Not sure who this is.

I have three named and two without names or real identifying features and I can't tell them apart except by behavior. So far there's Shenai, Brow, and Isabel. Isabel's friend is one of the unnamed chicks.

Sorry I am so late responding...

They look so happy and healthy - they are clearly loved and well taken care of! I just love the 'jungle/branches in their tents - very imaginative - and I am sure they love all the different roosts and heights.

I do hope that your chick with teh bulging eyes continues to thrive and keep up with the others. Extra Naps actually sounds nice (especially since she is active in between), but then, that is only because I frequently feel like a nap would do me good - but it would be frowned on at work! 😆

I am sorry to hear about the start of the Vet visit. I have found that many Vets (and Drs.) can be quite opinionated and not always as well informed on everything. I am glad you stood your ground...and that it become more amicable as the visit progressed. I hope that Hazel is okay. I say this based on what you posted about mycoplasma - that it tends to flare when they are stressed or otherwise compromised - I hope there isn't some background thing going on with Hazel. I am sorry - I think you mentioned this previously - but how old is she now?

Also, are you still using CBD for Diane-Ida Biter? Is it still working some to calm her - at least for a bit until it wears off? Has it helped with her behavior some long term - or is it just while she is getting the effects of the CBD. (I was hoping that while using it, it would encourage better interaction with you that might change her genaral behavior a bit - push it some in the right direction.)

:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs

Hugs to you - stay strong - you are doing such a wonderfu job. I would love to be a chicken in your care!❤️

yesterday as PITA hasn't taken her crew out yet this morning. She is the classic conservative worry wort mother hen.
