When You Know You Are Being Bad

They were at it again tonight.

They seem to know which night it's going to rain outside and which night it's not. I can't explain it.

So I went out to gather them up and give them a ride back into the coop. They got on my arm as per usual but after a couple steps they hopped down and made a beeline for the Hut and put themselves to bed without my help.

Smart little buggers. They knew they were being bad staying out like that.

They are definitely pretty smart.

Mine seem to have rain sensors too but sometimes they just don't care.

That's a funny one. More like pooped on it though. I've found that male birds poop more.

That looks great. We live in the country on 5 acres. We put in a 100'x50' fenced yard for our girls. The fence is 6' and we buried rock under it. It's kept everything out, except hawks, but the roos keep a good eye out for those now.
Here's a video from 2020, it shows the chicken yard. .

It's been a while since I saw your chickens running like that. I love it!
