I love water park chickens!
Poor Piglet is really suffering in the heat. Everyone else is coping, but yesterday I thought I might lose her. She just moped in a damp corner all day.

Hope she is doing better today. Did you get a cool down there?

We have had a huge cool down. Yesterday it was 31C today 19c, at the moment it is 16C (61f). The forecast low is 8C tonight, this weather is crazy.

Mind you the chooks and horses are much happier. But I had to shut the one window in the Hen House A, the wind was howling through it.

The next few days look cooler so the animals will be more comfortable. The extremes this year are very worrying, I have never seen such extremes ever here.

We're can deal with animals here too. We're don't like to, but sometimes you don't have a choice!

Glad he's ready now. Remind him of the Shoot, Shovel, and Shut up principle. I know a lady who shot, then in trying to be nice, took the dog to the owners....who tried to sue (they lost).

Betty just cannot handle the heat, I wonder if it’s because she is a winter baby, born and raised in the cold I wonder if she has just acclimated her body to the cold.
