That had to be so miserable, ouch!

This was a black ant of all things. He bit me four times before I could get my pants off...lol. The bites are bright red, hard and itch like crazy. Thankful it's not like your poor foot.

Mr P is awesome! 💗
:hugs :hugs :hugs

If he's the only chick in the morning I will sneak him under Navy. Periwinkle is in the wrong nestboxes to be raising children...
Before full light or half dark/full dark seemed to be best. When I took the screamer out (I think the one that ultimately passed), it was full light....and Cardhu went for me due to the chick in distress call.

I loved my legbar. I understand why you like them.
I think they're special! 💗
I'm kind of sad that I didn't have more time to spend with my new littles. They're all easily spooked by us. But, I think it's getting better. I try to be with them several times throughout the day. Bringing treats/bribes also helps...lol

Just the drive up and around to the other road. We’re on a corner. They’ve never gone as far as the road, thankfully. Unfortunately some unleashed dogs have come on the property. We do have coyotes but the Pups usually keeps them at bay during evening hours. She loves tussling with them. The dogs though… 😩 thankfully the one dog walker has learned and now leashes her out of control dogs.
Just took her too long to learn imo. I have names for her in my head that aren’t nice.

Dogs are a menace for sure, my neighbours are trained to know I send all dogs on my property to the SPCA, and I do not tell them their dogs have gone to doggie jail.

If they track them down it costs over $120 to get them back. Haven’t had any issues with the chooks and dogs thankfully.

It’s a very warm and humid night here, even with all the fans going the chooks are very warm.

They can be bribed for certain. It's a great strategy.

And a Legbar fluffy butt for Friday courtesy of Pooh who is once again showing off her skill with the new feeder. Note her nonchalantly draped foot - no longer clinging on for dear life!
