When she's upset, she'll be a screaming banshee flying at whoever she's upset with (not the babies....until she's DONE)Thank you. I was worried she was all upset about everything.

A walker. A WALKER!!!
Now I know what to do with my mom’s original walker!
WHOMST are those tiny black floofs?
Oh my, such a fun experience. Tassels has her hands/er wings full, these littles experienced freedom before you introduced them. I imagine it's kind of like a teenager whose been given to much freedom and they have to be reminded that, they, are, not, in, charge...lolI was so terrified the Aunties would attack that I was hovering ready to save the situation, so I was completely unprepared for:
- Pooh wanting to join in with them and getting pecked for her pains
- Calypso taking one look at them and running away
- Sylvie (broody) coming by and shouting at Tassels before stomping back to her nest
- Piglet (broody) looking out of the nest once and then not surfacing again
And all the while Tassels just kept on talking and talking and the chicks kept zooming around!
She’s a darling, is she a leghorn? Of one of the fancy hybrids they have with leghorns.Oh my, such a fun experience. She and her sister are both so pretty. She's a fancy hybrid. I was going to see if you all could figure it out. She's called a Rainbow Egger. Excited to see what color eggs we will be getting. They didn't have pictures, so I had no idea what they were going to look like. We bought them from Dunlap Hatchery. She’s a darling, is she a leghorn? I KNEW you couldn't resist.Ok so Jenn is the most observant - I thought for sure on the weekend she would figure out I was priming you all for the broody buster chicks.
These are Noirans, a hybrid of Marans developed in France by Hendrix Genetics. They lay very dark brown eggs like Marans, and have feathered legs.
There were 5 but when I picked them up I noted one had passed during the trip to the store.
I have placed these under Georgie and Holly, Georgie is very good, Holly is not too sure what’s going on but so far she has been good.
Hopefully they will stop this foolishness of being broody for a couple months to get through this heat and humidity. And get Holly to start eating and put on some weight.
Wait till Marie sees this hahaha![]()
