It could be I didn’t fully twist so the tabs were locked in. Or that the chickens pecking untwisted it. I would be happy to try again except I can’t find it!

Mine have never pecked one apart and Sydney is quite violent when she pecks for food. What little spillage i do have is generally non-existant with pellet feed.

I have tried to hang the feeders at the height of their back where possible. They are a little lower right now because of the smaller size of the Phyllistines. Looking at the chickens now, it's time to raise them up.

I was talking about the small, chick sized one. If I knew where it had disappeared I would take a picture!
It doesn’t have a handle to hang, but I made one by drilling a hole in the top and putting an eye bolt through the hole.

Those of you with chicks, how do you not spend all day watching them. I may be retired and therefore am lucky enough to have flexibility, but I have chores to do!
I can’t just waste hours watching them.
And yet here I am!

You spend LOTS of time watching chicks, then move like mad to get everything else done so you can go back out.

I have a few Americanas and it always makes me smile to see my big red hen Jaffarra laying a blue egg. I would
Expect a brown egg from her but nope blue!

I know right. My EE's gave me blue and green. Definitely not what you would expect.

No polish? I am very excited to see these grow up. Congratulations!

I couldn’t get Polish day olds. My neighbours youngest chicks are a couple weeks old. I almost got more Azure, but I don’t want to get attached to these. I want to rehome them, I really would like some Brahma and/or Tolbunts.
