It’s 12.5 feet per second to get my plane airborne on a cold day air is more dense, lift easier.

I was just telling Mrs LC that yesterday when she has a near-hit attempting to fly up onto my head. She needed a longer run to get airborne due to the hot air, it’s less dense thus doesn’t provide as much lift.

I have 10 identical pairs - love those socks! Used to have 2 dozen but alas the heals wear out.

I usually darn the holes in my socks. Soon as I see that hole, I throw them away and say “Darn, another brave Walmart shopping experience!!”

Regarding your query a while back about the hay elevator here is what it looks like in action.

The bales are loaded onto the unit and a chain with teeth slide the bales up into the loft where we stack the hay. FYI it was 109F in that loft last month when I was clearing the loft getting ready for this year's hay, that's with NO breeze and a lot of humidity - ugh....

The loft is now filled to the roof.

Heaven help me if one of the broody brats ever got up there under those eves and tried to hatch eggs. There would be no way I would ever be able to get to them. Not without hauling all the hay out.

As we've seen... hens lay eggs in trees & they don't think about the consequence of chicks getting down safely from high levels so I can imagine your concerns about your loft.

Gonna need more pics of the no tail feathers, and pics of their legs. I ask this, because Cochins don’t need to fly. They are considered pampered pets and should be treated as such.

I will try, but Tassels has them strictly under control and they move very fast! They aren't Cochins but they sure are pampered.

I don't think we have ruled out Buckeye. I guess we will all see as she grows. I think she will grow fast based on how much she eats!
