It was cooler this last week, only 90 yesterday. But it's heating up again.

Have to say, I am relieved to not see them hiding in the barn to keep cool.

Last night everyone was happily out and about. Sand bathing, and generally having a good old time as chickens - even the babies were out and about!

They look like pine cones and I have almost stepped on them a few times! I am so very very cautious now, I can’t move too fast with my vertigo these days so I stop, look, step. Repeat hahaha.

The late afternoon shadows with the pine tree makes it hard to see the big girls even!

Vertigo is not fun. I hope you can get rid of it.

The dentist said to put the implant base in at the time of tooth pulling... then heal... then add the crown after healing approx 3 months. Anyway I look at it... it's a pain... but I need something permanent cuz my arm probably won't work so good to reach my rear mouth to remove a temporary bridge for daily cleaning. I can barely brush teeth & have to use an electric toothbrush now. H*ll getting old.

Tx ~ DH made a soft fluffy Chile Relleno Casserole for me today from our Anaheim chili plant & Silkie eggs! Yum! TY girls (& DH) ~ not pretty... but DELICIOUS

Yep getting old is not for the faint of heart. I take a page from the old chooks here, I just take things as they come now, and when any of the younger ‘chooks’ here tick me off, I peck them on the top of the head! Not sure what HR thinks of that

Tassels explaining how to behave in the jungle. Oh. Geronimo didn’t hang about for Mom’s lesson! She is already off exploring deep in the undergrowth!

That is Bucky bottom/left and Chippy in the middle. Do I see spots on Chippy or is that my imagination?
Tassels has taught them to eat grown-up pellets already. So not only did I buy too much chick feed but I needn’t have switched to All Flock crumbles when I restocked feed last week!
