Gosh I hope my little goblins don’t have that problem! I’ll have to take up the pine cones otherwise! They are already stumbling over those!

I didn't post tax!Hope you’re feeling better by now! I’ve been too busy to be on much. As one who has been through various surgeries, ortho included I’ll note that pain is a sneaky and sometimes tricky thing. It’s situational, and often worse at night, and it’s best to make any changes during the day so you can deal with it then. And even if you’ve been fine all day with a lesser dose you might want to take something for the night. You got this!
You’re probably starting PT soon, so another tip: even if you’re not needing much pain meds during the daytime consider you might find you’ll want something for the appointment. When I DID need meds during the day I adjusted my regular schedule so that I would be approaching peak medication during the PT appointment.
Then at a certain point I needed ZERO meds for both night and day but ended up taking one pill prior to each PT to help get through the stretching pain and muscle work. I was in much better shape afterwards, and with less persistent soreness. It really helps!![]()

That's some serious foot feather!Cookie is not growing as fast as her boots. Getting a bit absurd! Might trip her up. But she is an accomplished flyer.

Awl, such a sweet photo. She looks quite content in this moment. These guys are very active, yet very friendly, they eat out of my hand, gather round me without fear, but are not lap sitters. My goal is to be able to handle them when necessary, so they do very occasionally get handled, which they object to but then calm down. Today one, might be Beedles - I have no idea why I call her that or if that name is appropriate - stayed on my leg for awhile after I let her go after feeling her crop and petting her. I said "Okay!" in a certain voice, but she decided it was a pretty good vantage point for a minute or so.
This is Picabo, who stepped back onto my hand and then decided to sit. The plastic coop back door is a bit slippery and I offered my hand. That made it easy to lift her up onto the coop ledge when Tedi came by looking for more lap time and she needed to remove herself post haste!

At this age, comb and wattles would be noticeable. Yours are older than mine,I want to mention Shanai, a honking big pullet and boss of the Nomads, i.e. all her brooder-mates. She must be 25% bigger than everyone else. She regularly spends a lot of time reinforcing her dominant position with the other Nomads. They all play chase and have a lot of stare-downs, but Shanai instigates many of them. Two of the next largest are the buddies she mostly does this with, particularly one she jumps and play fights with, but even the smallest pullets Isabel and Picabo get a light peck when they immediately submit.
Shanai is the middle front pullet

She has massively long, strong legs and they look really big from certain angles

She is so tall. Roo keeps crossing my mind but she's not showing the feathering I don't think. She has been consistently challenging Tedi, and today I heard growling and realized it was not Diane nearby wanting to bite me, it was Tedi, having a real showdown with Shanai. They stared, bent down and pointing beaks at each other, and Tedi kept growling, and then advanced. Tedi was puffed up and Shanai's neck was flared, but she was stepping backwards every so often. Shanai has got guts, she always has had guts, and she's getting big and strong enough to back it up if she really wanted to. But Tedi is not conceding. Shanai did instead, and got several chases right then for her insubordination. That led to Shanai chasing all her brooder mates after Tedi left.
I've been looking at her feathers making sure I'm not seeing pointy ones in her hackles and saddle. Late sun, shining golden on her.
