I was thinking the same thing.Calypso is a good neuter name... IMO I wouldn't change it. But it's your birdie & you can even name it Blackie if it works for you
Adorable sweetie any way you look at him.
I was kidding about the name, because Silkies are not real chickens, they’re feather dustersYou all may be on to something here. I do like Dusty.
All the more reason why Dusty actually fits and is perfect. I think I'm going to try that name out for a few days.I was kidding about the name, because Silkies are not real chickens, they’re feather dusters![]()
Such a sweetie!Next up, Ducky and his or her many momma's. Also notice some of the girls tails. Not every hen has that perfectly round tail to this day.

Sorry to hear you are still unwell. Did you go into the hospital the other day, or at least consult a doctor in urgent care? I hope you are following doctor's orders! After eight days, I still feel dizzy and shaking, but I must get out off this bed and buy food and chicken feed.
My brilliant idea was to ask my neighbor lady, (who I help out sometimes) she has no car, but does have a drivers license. I have my new car, but can’t attempt to drive in my weakened condition. It’s been a steady 100f weather. (my new car has excellent air conditioning) it’s a win win situation I’m believing.

Don't pick too early to ripen off the tree. We wait for a light blush of color on the skin but fruit is still very firm...then pick to ripen at room temp. You'll get a feel for doing it after a while. I accidentally cut a branch w/ a half ripened grapefruit on it & tried leaving it on the cut branch to ripen but the fruit sadly was a little too young/green to develop more & just dried up. Sometimes I accidentally prune a tomato vine w/ robust but unripened green tomatoes still on it... but the fruit will usually ripen to red w/i a week if left on the cut off vine.I picked one and put it in the kitchen window to see if it would ripen. I think Sylvester017 told me last year about letting them ripen off the tree.
But it pays off... delicious-wise... in foodWhite, white, white. You are so racist!![]()
