I tried that, but we have too many stray cats in my compound. Imagine what my chooks would smell like, playing in a kitty litter sewer? :sick
Not sure what your setup was for sand... the cats don't use the sandbox during the day while the hens are out & about... so since stray cats are nocturnal wanderers we cover the sandbox at dusk w/ a thick beach pad ~ no more cat poop.

The Littles are over 5 weeks old now and Tassels is still ruling over them with an iron beak. She summoned them to teach them about corn on the cob. They were very diligent at their lesson!
They are growing some really pretty patterns. And meanwhile Sylvie lost her tail overnight and somehow still manages to look elegant!

Oh, Sylvie is always elegant 💕

Are there air pressure, ear-popping, problems flying or is there pressure controls? I was thinking for chickens?
Not much of a difference at 3000 ft. Same atmosphere as ground level. But it could be a problem if the vector is a higher altitude say 8000+ ft. My mountain is 12000 ft at summit. Marie never reaches so high
