The first month was the worst as they were 4 visits per wk. The therapist explores how much movement I have & when it hurts I tell them... cuz my guy says there should not be real real real pain. So if it really hurts bad he'll stop to work on the muscle or the joint that needs work to relax before he proceeds. Don't be afraid to yelp when it hurts cuz then they're supposed to massage or work whatever joint needs attention. & yes, the sessions can go longer sometimes. We have intern assts that take over excess exercises when the main therapist has to go to his next patient. The assts are very qualified & I see them longer than the main guys.

After 8 months of therapy I have strength now for pulling or pushing but still having problems lifting the arm higher than my shoulder & keeping it suspended there! The shoulder & pec muscles are too tight but at least the arm is not too hindered by the plate & pins. I may not ever get the same full operation/movement as the good arm but better than no arm at all!

Are you sure that’s a real bunny? :gig

I think you have a cockerel...on the slower developing side. (75% sure on that, still with in the wait and see range). Good. The ladies need a sentinel. And a boy raised in the flock can settle in rather nicely.
Oh Lordy!
So much for sexed chicks from Meyers.

Time for some appreciation

They are all so beautiful! 💗

Yep after raising show horses for many many years, I was happy just to enjoy my old gals. Best horse ever was one I paid $100 for, and was a mutt.

Same with the chooks. My mutts are great. Now having said that, those Orpingtons are wonderful also.

Hmmmm I wonder what a polish and Orpington would look like?!
Lavender bred to anything but lavender will produce black split to lavender. Black chook, but if bred to lavender or split to lav, could produce lavender or more splits (x with another split, 25% will simply be black, 50% black split (so will look like the simple black) and 25% lav)

And I've questioned EVERY sussex.....and just the other day posted Q about Tundra, who is 10 weeks. After about 12 weeks, the Q is usually answered definitively (exceptions abound on both sides of that mark (like silkies/silkie mixes) ). I think this will resolve in the next 2 weeks.

The little lady herself. She is actually one of my sweeties who likes to snuggle.

She is an escape artist, I find her in back at the manure pile all the time.

And Clyde really likes her.

Laverne the Lavender Orpington

I would have a bunch more if I could, they are quiet, don’t cause drama, very friendly (the Buffs also), and very pretty. Wish I had ordered a bunch when Peavy Mart was around.
I find them to be super chickens. I recommend them to anyone.
